"I won a WEBBY, yeah!" (Brit McAdams, 2007)
Famous for its five-word speeches, The Webby Awards is hailed as the Oscars of the Internet by the New York Times. Brit won (and was nominated for an Emmy) for the Honesty webisode campaign he wrote and directed for Comedy Central, which quickly became a huge viral smash.
Brit followed up Honesty by directing and co-writing Katt Williams: American Hustle, starring Ludacris, Jeremy Piven, Snoop Dogg and Luenell (the prostitute from Borat).
Brit began at VH1, becoming a Creative Director and head writer and producer on Pop Quiz, a music trivia show, Here's Donny, one of the most important talk shows ever hosted by Donny Osmond and also writing, directing and producing filmed segments for shows and specials including, The VH1 Fashion Awards and VH1 Divas Live.
Brit went on to direct commercials for everyone from Pepsi to Duracell to The Connecticut Board of Mental health and was named one of the Best New Directors in America by Shoot Magazine.
TV credits for Brit include seven short films with the cast of Saturday Night Live.
As for Brit's upcoming work, look for a new series of shorts for Comedy Central entitled, Great Moments in Human Interaction and Walk-Ons, a scripted half-hour show for Comedy Central as well as a feature length version of Honesty.
PATRICK CADY - Executive Producer/Director
Patrick "got hooked" on film working as the camera intern on director John Sayles' "Passion Fish." Eight years after hauling cases for Roger Deakins on that first film, he was singled out as one of Variety's "Ten Cinematographers to Watch" for his work shooting "Girlfight". He then went on to shoot Mr. Sayles' "Sunshine State" which was lauded as one of the best films of 2002 by The New York Times. He was also a cinematographer on CBS's premiere season of "Cold Case", which was the nation's most watched new drama. He continues to shoot movies and TV shows, including HBO's critical hit "In Treatment" and "The Stepfather" for Sony/Screen Gems.
Patrick lives in Los Angeles with his wife and daughter, both of whom have been remarkably supportive of his pursuit to make a film about the World's Largest Trivia Contest.
REBECCA RITCHIE - Producer
Rebecca Ritchie began her film career working at a documentary production company, Partisan Pictures, in New York City in 1998. That project began a rapid and successful journey to producing major productions for, among other outlets, one of the most successful and notable cable channels in the industry.
Since 2002, when Rebecca became the primary shoot producer of the VH1 Creative Department, she’s produced hundreds of live action promo & still photo campaigns for VH1 & CMT. In April 2005, she added Executing Producing for LOGO to her roster. In September of that year, she was named Director of Production for VH1 & LOGO Creative.
Five years and over 200 film and video projects later- including BDA Gold Award Winning Promo Campaigns - Rebecca is now back to applying her extensive experience onto the feature documentary world. She opened Trivial Pictures, LLC, in 2004 to produce “Triviatown”©, a feature length documentary on the World’s Largest Trivia Contest.
